Job summary

Northern Uniform Service in Sudbury, ON, is seeking an Industrial Custodian to maintain cleanliness of production and office areas, and to perform preventive janitorial duties.

The role offers permanent full-time hours, benefits and RRSP, and starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, squat, kneel, or sit up to 7 hours daily.
• Comfortable working at heights indoors.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Punctual, positive, professional attitude.
• Able to work as a team player with good time management.
• Forklift and tractor operation on site (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Perform productive facility maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of the outside grounds of the facility along with the production areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of offices, lunchroom and washrooms according to a set daily and weekly checklists.
• Daily tasks include wiping, sanitizing and dusting various surfaces.
• Restocking of supplies; soap, paper towel, toilet paper.
• Managing site inventory.
• Salting and sanding entryways in winter conditions.
• Documenting completion of tasks.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors and Managers.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
