Job summary

Northern Uniform Service in Sudbury, ON, is seeking an Industrial Custodian to join our full-time team. You will perform preventive and routine janitorial duties to maintain the cleanliness of production and office areas, following daily and weekly checklists.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and teamwork. We offer a benefits plan and RRSP, with start as soon as possible for a dedicated individual.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, squat, kneel, or sit for up to 7 hours daily.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights indoors.
• Punctual, professional and team-oriented.
• Good time management and communication with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform productive facility maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of outside grounds and production areas.
• Clean offices, lunchroom and washrooms per daily/weekly checklists.
• Wipe, sanitize and dust surfaces daily.
• Restock supplies (soap, paper towel, toilet paper).
• Manage site inventory.
• Salt and sand entryways in winter.
• Document task completion.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Managers.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our state-of-the-art facility requires a responsible, detail-oriented individual to maintainthe cleanliness of our production and office areas through performing preventive and routine janitorial duties.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Perform productivefacility maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of the outside grounds of the facility along with the production areas of the facility
• Maintain cleanliness of offices, lunchroom and washrooms according to a set daily and weekly checklists
• Daily tasks include wiping, sanitizing and dusting various surfaces
• Restocking of supplies; soap, paper towel, toilet paper
• Managing site inventory
• Salting and sanding entryways in winter conditions
• Documenting completion of tasks
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors and Managers
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, squat, kneel, or sit according to task for up to 7 hours a day
• Comfortable working at heights indoors
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75lbs
• Punctual, positive, professional and helpful attitude
• Able to work as a team player among groups of people
• Strong awareness to time management
• Operate forklifts and tractors on site (training provided)
