Job summary

Rexel Canada Electrical Inc., Westburne division, is seeking an Outside Technical Sales Specialist to grow industrial controls sales. You will work with customers to tailor solutions, deliver technical presentations, and develop annual sales plans.

This role emphasizes technical knowledge, relationship-building, and collaboration across engineering and operations. Travel within the assigned territory is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for building customer relationships.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about complex products and solutions.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with new and existing customers to understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned territories by prospecting and following up on leads.
• Assist in delivering technical presentations to showcase product value to customers.
• Develop and deliver a yearly business plan with specific goals and targets.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Shadow senior sales specialists to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience.
