Job summary

Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. is seeking an Automation Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team in Alberta.

You will work alongside senior specialists and technical experts to develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and solutions, building tailored offerings for customers. You will grow sales by prospecting, networking, and following up on leads while delivering technical presentations and solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a technical role (internships or co‑op experience considered).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about complex products and solutions.
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and eager to take on challenges.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Alberta.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with new and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned territories by prospecting, networking, and following up on leads.
Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations to customers, showcasing the value of our products and services.
Develop a strong understanding of the company’s product portfolio, including electrical, automation, and energy solutions.
Collaborate with technical teams to provide accurate and effective solutions to customer challenges.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the sales process.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term relationships.
Participate in training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and sales skills.
Shadow senior sales specialists to learn best practices and gain hands‑on experience in complex sales scenarios.
Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Provide feedback to product management and marketing teams to improve offerings and address customer needs.
