Job summary

Government of Yukon is seeking an Indigenous Training Program Coordinator to lead the Indigenous Training Program, supporting Indigenous employees to build skills, gain meaningful work experience and explore career pathways within Community Services and the Yukon Government.

You will mentor staff, work with managers to create training opportunities, and strengthen partnerships with Yukon First Nations and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing guidance and support through mentorship, coaching or supervision in a professional, communityor learning environment.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting training, employment, education or community-based programs.
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with partners, communities, organizations or diverse groups.
  • Experience supporting individuals with different backgrounds, needs and goals.
  • Experience working with Indigenous people, communities, organizations or Indigenous-focused programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Indigenous Training Program (ITP).
  • Mentor and guide employees through skills development.
  • Collaborate with managers to create training and employment opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with Yukon First Nations and community partners.
  • Evaluate and grow the program over time.
