Job summary

Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Government seeks a Children’s Program Coordinator to plan and run after-school and summer youth programs in Dawson City, Yukon. You will mentor youth, work with Elders, and coordinate activities that foster life skills and cultural knowledge.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma and experience with youth programming, including safety and collaboration with the community. Term position through March 2028.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in child and youth care, education, recreation, social work or related field, with one year of relevant work experience; equivalent combinations may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates developmental, social, recreational and cultural activities for TH children aged 8 to 12.
• Develops daily programs and activities to build life skills, confidence, self-awareness, and leadership.
• Delivers programming through mentorship with Elders, Citizens and community supports.
