Qualifications

• Requires a university degree in Indigenous Relations/Studies, Education, Social Services or related field.
• Four years of related experience with Indigenous Peoples and learning and development.
• Equivalency options may apply (1 year education = 1 year experience or vice versa).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with ministry partners to develop an effective ILI training plan and cultural opportunities.
• Support development and delivery of Indigenous curriculum and frameworks for APS staff.
• Develop protocols, guidelines, and best practices aligned to diverse Indigenous groups in Alberta.
• Analyze, evaluate, and monitor impact of ILI training to reflect Indigenous perspectives in policies and services.
• Consult with ministry, Indigenous partners and Elders to create curricula and modules.
• Implement information sharing initiatives and resources for APS employees.
• Build capacity with ILI facilitators to deliver high-level training.
• Promote transparent engagement to increase understanding and address issues.
