Job summary

Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) invites applications for an Employment Coordinator at Indigenous Healing Lodge in Edmonton, AB. The role supports residents with job readiness, prepares them for employment, and collaborates with employers to secure and sustain work placements.

The ideal candidate has deep Indigenous knowledge, understands historic trauma, and can manage client plans in a team setting. A valid Alberta driver’s license and clear checks are required.

Qualifications

• Indigenous communities, cultures, healing and language familiarity.
• Understanding historic trauma and colonial impacts.
• Proficiency with computers and information technology.
• Knowledge of Child and Family Services, justice, courts, housing and income supports is an asset.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication; dependable and confidential.
• Willingness to learn NCSA Resiliency Model.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with industry on behalf of clients and the program to enhance employment.
• Provide pre-employment supports such as resume writing and interview prep.
• Case management with team members involved in client plans.
