Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking an Indigenous Rights and Consultation Specialist based in Edmonton with hybrid work options. The role focuses on integrating Indigenous knowledge, rights, and cultural considerations into planning and impact assessments.

The selected candidate will engage with Indigenous communities, support data collection, analysis, and reporting, and contribute to socio-economic assessments while working within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection of Indigenous Knowledge, socio-cultural data, and traditional land and resource use data collection.
• Perform and coordinate background research, compilation, synthesis and analysis.
• Support baseline programs and effects assessments with respect to Indigenous peoples, including Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and cultural impact assessments.
• Conduct qualitative data analysis and interpretation.
• Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables in line with best practices and appropriate cultural protocols.
• Support Indigenous community consultation and engagement programs and activities.
