Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Services or Grade 12 preferred.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
  • At least six months of experience in human services.
  • Experience with report writing and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with families, Elders, and professionals.
  • Willingness to learn Kwakwaka’wakw culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement family support plans with families.
  • Provide ongoing case management and coordinate services with partners.
  • Collaborate with K’wakwalat’si Child & Family Services team and community partners.
  • Provide in-home parenting support and life skills mentoring.
  • Assist with transportation, meetings, budgeting, and accessing services.
  • Deliver services in a culturally safe, strengths-based manner.
