Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in social services or related field.
• Minimum three years in social services or family support.
• Experience with Indigenous communities is an asset.
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based practice knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with caregivers, families, Elders, and communities.
• Coordinate recruitment, engagement, education, and support for caregivers.
• Guide caregivers on developmental, emotional, cultural, and wellness needs.
• Connect caregivers to resources, training, and community supports.
• Provide mentorship on parenting, trauma-informed care, and child development.
• Promote culturally grounded caregiving practices and connections to culture.
• Collaborate with team members to develop coordinated support plans.
• Participate in family meetings and community engagement activities.
• Monitor caregiver wellbeing and facilitate referrals when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data in accordance with policies.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
