Job summary

WorkSafeBC is seeking an Indigenous Cultural Navigator and Engagement Specialist to support Indigenous relationships across Claims, Prevention, and Assessments. The role blends office work with remote flexibility and focuses on culturally respectful service delivery.

Reporting to the Manager of Indigenous Relations, you will partner across the organization to remove barriers and improve outcomes for Indigenous clients and communities in British Columbia.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 6 years of Indigenous relations, consulting, prevention, or disability management experience.
• Strong understanding of Indigenous issues and BC Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain respectful relationships with Indigenous workers, employers, service providers, and communities.
• Support Indigenous clients in navigating WorkSafeBC systems (Claims, Prevention, Assessments).
• Collaborate across internal teams to improve accessibility and cultural respect in services.
• Identify barriers and contribute to improvements in Indigenous service experiences.
• Provide guidance to staff on culturally respectful approaches.
