Job summary

ERM is seeking an Indigenous Engagement Consultant (Field Based) to support engagement programs across British Columbia and Canada. The role involves delivering technical leadership for Indigenous engagement, knowledge integration into environmental assessments, and regulatory filing.

The position requires strong communication, document preparation, and travel to project locations. A degree in Indigenous studies or related fields and 5+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Indigenous studies or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Indigenous engagement or traditional knowledge.
• Familiarity with Canadian federal and BC provincial legislation on consultation and environmental assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support planning, strategy, and reporting for Indigenous engagement and land use studies.
• Plan and support interviews, workshops, and field studies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Research, engage Indigenous communities, and synthesize information from diverse sources.
