Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. is seeking Independent Contractors for our Domestic Fleet. This position runs open dispatch, 10 days on and up to 4 days off across Canada, with a focus on safe, reliable transportation and professional customer service.

Requirements include a Class 1A license, minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving, and owning a truck (5 years or newer). Heaters and reefers experience is a plus. We offer paid orientation, steady hours, a safety program, and supportive dispatch.

Qualifications

• Class 1A license required.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience.
• Must own a truck (5 years or newer).
• LCV experience is a plus.
• Ability to drive in all terrains.
• Experience with heaters and reefers.
• Professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Safe driving record verified by a current driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle freight and freight documents.
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety.
• Perform all other duties as requested.
