Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. is seeking Independent Contractors for its Domestic Fleet, running Vancouver, BC to Calgary, AB with two roundtrips per week. Compensation is up to $2.20 per mile, plus paid orientation and a stable year-round schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1A license.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience.
• Must own a truck (5 years or newer).
• LCV experience is an asset.
• Ability to drive in all terrains.
• Experience with heaters and reefers.
• Professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Safe driving record verified by a current driver's abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle freight and freight documents.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Ensure safety compliance on all runs.
• Perform other duties as requested.

This position is running Vancouver, BC - Calgary, AB two roundtrips per week.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner
• Handle freight and freight documents
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
• Professional communication with customers
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety
• Perform all other duties as requested
