Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. is seeking independent contractors for our domestic fleet. This role involves running open dispatch with 10 days on and up to 4 days off, handling pickups and deliveries across Canada and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Ideal candidates have a Class 1A license, at least 2 years of verifiable truck driving, own a truck (5+ years), and bring LCV experience along with reliable, professional conduct. Heaters/reefers experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Class 1A drivers license.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
• Must own your own truck (5 years or newer).
• LCV experience is an asset.
• Ability to drive in all terrains.
• Experience with heaters and reefers.
• Professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Safe driving record verified by a current drivers abstract.
• Ability to perform all duties without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner
• Handle freight and freight documents
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
• Professional communication with customers
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety
• Perform all other duties as requested
