Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. is seeking Independent Contractors for our Domestic Fleet in Canada. This role runs open dispatch, with 10 days on and up to 4 days off, delivering freight safely and efficiently across the country.

You will handle freight documents, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain professional communication with customers, and comply with all safety standards. A reliable truck and current driver’s abstract are required.

Qualifications

• Class 1A license required.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience.
• Must own your own truck (5 years or newer).
• LCV experience is an asset.
• Ability to drive in all terrains.
• Experience with heaters and reefers.
• Safe driving record verified by a current drivers abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle freight and freight documents.
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety.
• Perform all other duties as requested.
