Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. requires Independent Contractors for our domestic fleet domiciled in AB, SK and MB. This position runs Open Dispatch, 10 days on and up to 4 days off, with compensation up to $2.60/mile and a safety-oriented team.

We offer paid orientation, a safety bonus paid three times per year, and a stable full-time schedule with year-round work. You must have a Class 1A license, own your truck, and meet the experience and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Class 1A license required.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience.
• Must own your own truck (5 years or newer).
• LCV experience preferred.
• Ability to drive in all terrains.
• Experience with heaters and reefers.
• Professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Safe driving record verified by a current drivers abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle freight and freight documents.
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety.
• Perform all other duties as requested.
