Job summary

The successful candidate will foster relationships with students and staff, assist with diverse learning and physical needs, and contribute to a safe, caring classroom community. Position ends June 29, 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students one-on-one and in small groups in inclusive settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Experience with diverse learning needs and diverse physical needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a Learning Support Team.
• Educational Assistant certification or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
• ASL knowledge or familiarity with assistive technology is an asset.
• NVCI or SIVA training would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide child support in an inclusive program to help meet learning goals.
• Support students under the guidance of the Learning Support Team.
• Assist with daily classroom activities and routines to create a safe, caring learning environment.
