Job summary

Livingstone School in Lundbreck, Alberta is seeking a temporary part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE) to provide child support in an inclusive setting. The role requires experience with one-on-one, small group work and collaboration with the Learning Support Team. Certification in Educational Assistant and/or Health Care Aide is preferred, with asset training in NVCI/SIVA and ASL/assistive tech.

The position ends June 29, 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff.
• Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with children with diverse physical needs and challenging behaviours.
• Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
• Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language and/or Assistive Technology is an asset.
• Physically fit and able to keep up with the demands of working with students with a variety of complex needs.
