Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience one-on-one and small-group support in inclusive classrooms.
• Ability to build relationships with students and staff.
• Experience with diverse learning needs and physical challenges.
• Experience collaborating with a Learning Support Team.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training is an asset.
• EA certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language and/or Assistive Technology is an asset.
• Physically fit to meet demands of diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) educational assistant to provide child support in an inclusive setting.

Desired Qualifications Include The Following

• Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff.
• Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with children with diverse physical needs and challenging behaviours.
• Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
• Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language and/or Assistive Technology is an asset.
• Physically fit and able to keep up with the demands of working with students with a variety of complex needs.

The position will start when a suitable candidate is found and will conclude on June 29, 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
