Part Time Temporary Educational Assistant

Horace Allen School requires a Part Time Temporary (17.5 hrs/week) Educational Assistant. This position will commence as soon as a successful candidate is found and will end June 29, 2027. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Learning Support and Administrative teams, the successful candidate will provide one-on-one, small group, and class wide student support in inclusive classroom settings.

Desired qualifications include the following:

• Experience working in an inclusive setting
• Demonstrates an ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility with programming
• Demonstrates an understanding of self-regulation, and has experience utilizing self-regulation tools with students
• Ability to work collaboratively with the School Support Team and outside agencies
• Ability to work independently to follow goals and implement strategies as determined by the school team and service providers, along with data collection as required
• Certification from accredited Teaching Assistant Program or equivalent is an asset
• SIVA training/certification is an asset

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
