Job summary

Chippewas of the Thames First Nation is seeking a Land Claims Negotiations Coordinator to support the Negotiation Team through all stages of claim processes. The role focuses on communication, documentation, records management, community engagement, funding, reporting, and implementation of land claim activities.

You will coordinate internal and community meetings, manage files and budgets, draft briefing notes, and liaise with legal, financial, and government partners.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma, or post-secondary education in Office Administration or related field.
  • Experience in coordination, funding administration, records management, or land-claims work.
  • Experience preparing briefing materials, meeting minutes, and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Negotiation Team meetings and logistics, including timelines and action items.
  • Maintain organized claim files, records, and funding documentation.
  • Prepare briefing notes, summaries, reports, and presentations for decision-making.
  • Coordinate community sessions, FPIC-based engagement, and training on settlement fund management.
  • Liaise with legal, financial, and government partners to support research, negotiation, and implementation activities.
  • Track risks, deadlines, and next steps; provide regular updates to the Negotiation Team.
