YMCA BC is seeking an Ice Attendant in Prince George to maintain a safe ice rink, assist guests with skates and equipment, and uphold facility rules. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Shifts are part-time and temporary with varied schedules including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Start ASAP with end date March 28, 2027, at 20.50 CAD per hour.

Terms: Part-Time, Temporary

Hours: 4-24 hours per week

Shift: Shifts vary and include weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Programs run every day.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: March 28, 2027

Salary: $20.50 per hour

Reports To: Supervisor, Skating Services

The Ice Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe ice skating environment, assisting guests with skating equipment, enforcing facility rules, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons

Major Responsibilities - in this position, you will :

• Ensure ice rules are being followed
• Support rental shop and skate sharpening when needed
• Perform first aid when required
• Provide excellent customer service to school groups and members of the public, assisting with any questions or concerns
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Complete all checklists, incident reports, and other documentation as required
• May also be trained as a cashier

Qualification - you bring :

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid Standard First Aid with CPR C certificate
• Have access to reliable transportation
• Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
