Job summary

The Prince George Family YMCA is seeking a part-time team member to support Membership Sales and front-desk operations. This role offers 8-24 hours weekly with shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

You will assist with tours, registrations, and member inquiries while upholding YMCA BC values and delivering friendly, professional service. CPR-C & AED, CRM and office skills are essential, with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR-C & AED certification required.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Experience in a fitness facility is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Access to reliable transit or a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Promote membership value and assist prospective members with tours and inquiries.
• Handle program registration, data entry, and communication across departments.
• Stay informed about membership changes and facility events.

Job description

Location: Prince George Family YMCA (2020 Massey Drive, Prince George, BC)

Terms: Part-TimePermanent

Hours: 8-24 hours per week

Shift: Shifts vary but will include weekdays, evenings and weekends. ( shift coverage needed for 10am-6pm)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $18.30 per hour

Reports To: Supervisor, Member Experience and Centre Manager

Nature and Scope

The Prince George Family Y is a multi-services facility, offering Fitness Services, Health Management Programs, Group Fitness classes, and Child and Youth Programs. We believe in putting people first, with 5-Star YMCA Services, and creating environments that are caring, welcoming and fun.

Major Responsibilities

• Membership sales behaviors include; promotion of membership value, engagement with prospective members and assessing their needs, providing tours of facility, telephone inquiries and sales, needs assessment and relationship building.
• Administration duties include; program registration, data entry, maintaining tracking spreadsheets, communication within all departments.
• Strives to keep up to date in keeping up to date and informed about membership changes, current event, priorities, and events occurring within facility

Qualifications - you bring

• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems experience
• Experience with ActiveNet an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer service orientation
• Experience in a fitness facility or recreation centre an asset
• Access to reliable transit or a vehicle
• Conflict resolution training an asset
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
• Successful candidates will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
