Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a structural engineer to join its hydroelectric team, focusing on dams, spillways and powerhouses in Canada with potential international projects.

You will work on analysis, design and rehabilitation of hydraulic structures within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with clients and preparing technical deliverables. A degree in civil engineering and 5–10 years of relevant experience are required, with PE registration or eligibility and English fluency essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; Master’s degree is an asset.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in design and rehabilitation of water-retaining structures and bridges.
• Registration as a professional engineer in Canada or eligibility (PEO).
• Fluency in English; bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Structural design of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities (concrete and steel).
• Rehabilitation of hydraulic works and related structures.
• Multidisciplinary coordination with design meetings and client discussions.
• Produce design calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Supervise production of deliverables and follow-up during construction.
