Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a civil/structural engineer to join the hydroelectric team responsible for dams, spillways and powerhouses. You will work on design, rehabilitation and technical deliverables for hydroelectric projects, supporting decision-making for clients.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary coordination, mentoring junior staff and following projects through construction, with opportunities in Canada and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural profile.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design/rehabilitation of water retaining structures, bridges and heavy civil works.
• EGBC member and eligible for professional engineer registration in Canada.
• Fluency in English; bilingualism an asset.
• Strong computer skills; SAP2000, Abaqus, ANSYS.

Responsibilities

• Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric plants and related structures.
• Rehabilitation of hydraulic works and related structures.
• Multidisciplinary coordination; lead design meetings.
• Produce preliminary and detailed engineering; prepare calculations and notes.
• Produce design reports, drawings and specifications for tender and construction.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Follow up the works during construction.
