Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural focus.
• Master's degree in civil engineering is an asset.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in design and rehabilitation of water retaining structures, bridges and civil engineering structures.
• Membership in the PEO or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in Canada.
• Fluency in English; bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants and related structures (concrete and steel).
• Rehabilitation of hydraulic works, hydroelectric power plants and related structures.
• Multidisciplinary coordination, attending and leading design meetings (internally and with the client).
• Production of preliminary and detailed engineering, and preparation and/or verification of design calculations and associated calculation notes.
• Participation and supervision of the production of the main technical deliverables, i.e. design reports, structural drawings and technical specifications for calls for tenders and for construction.
• Follow-up the works during construction.
