Sargent & Lundy is seeking a CAD designer with a strong background in transmission line design to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves developing line drawings, 3D models, and hardware details while coordinating with engineers to interpret specifications and ensure accuracy.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities to work in office and remotely from home, leveraging AutoCAD and MicroStation tools to deliver high-quality design outputs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
• 8+ years experience in design/drafting of Transmission Lines.
• Knowledge of producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD.
• Ability to multi-task between projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop transmission line plans and profile drawings.
• Create line hardware details, material lists, and grounding details.
• Produce master sketches to scale showing installations relative to existing facilities.
• Interpret input from engineers and specs to inform drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering staff and vendors to adjust drawings as needed.
• Assist project team during site visits to gather design information.
