Job summary

BDC in Canada seeks a seasoned professional to manage an existing client portfolio and build strong relationships with entrepreneurs. You will tailor financing solutions and advisory services to help clients grow their revenues from $3M to $50M and beyond.

You will leverage relationship strengths and business acumen to deliver tailored financing and advisory support, while meeting sales objectives and maintaining high client satisfaction. A hybrid work model enhances work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent is required.
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to interpret financial statements.
• Professional accounting designation is a major asset.
• Five or more years of experience in a similar role with sales objectives and a solid understanding of the regional business environment.
• Demonstrated canvassing, listening, and needs-identification abilities with entrepreneurs.
• Clients remember you for accuracy, proactivity, and exceptional customer service.
• Rigorous, organized portfolio management and effective marketing plan execution.
• Team player capable of building lasting internal and external relationships.
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with entrepreneurs, clients and prospects to discuss business specifics and identify suitable BDC offerings.
• Deliver a marketing plan aligned with business centre objectives to secure client retention and growth.
• Execute your action plan to maintain the client portfolio and develop potential avenues.
• Analyze, negotiate, and present financing proposals with credit judgement.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate borrowers and ensure value-added, tailored communications.
