Job summary

BDC is seeking a Senior Manager, Portfolio Management to support the loan portfolio lifecycle. You will analyze complex credit and portfolio matters, recommend client-focused solutions, and ensure alignment with policies and risk standards. Your role drives the success of Canadian entrepreneurs.

You will manage annual reviews, assess profitability, monitor borrowing activity, and lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver effective client solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as an Account Manager in banking.
• Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
• Ability to evaluate complex financial structures and assess credit risk.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bilingualism in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage outstanding file-related requirements per audit policies and ensure documentation is complete.
• Complete annual portfolio reviews by assessing profitability and monitoring activity.
• Review financial statements, perform analysis, and assess risk ratings.
• Identify and manage potential risk situations and recommend solutions.
• Authorize, decline, or amend loans and service requests within authorities.
• Collaborate with Credit and Business Development teams to deliver solutions.
