Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the sales team with technical expertise throughout the sales process. This early-career role focuses on learning, execution, and collaboration.

The position is hybrid, covering Edmonton and northern Alberta, with opportunities to translate customer needs into product solutions, assist demonstrations, and contribute to proposals under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; P.Eng preferred.
• Eligible for P.Eng registration in applicable provinces or pursuing it.
• Minimum 4 years in a technical/engineering role, with sales exposure preferred.
• Ability to explain complex tech to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient with MS Office; CAD or CRM tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during the sales process.
• Translate customer needs into product solutions.
• Assist with product demonstrations and presentations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for client use.
• Participate in client meetings to understand business and technical needs.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFPs with accurate technical input.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support solution design.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations under supervision.
• Provide technical support during sales cycles and training for clients.
