Job summary

The National Research Council Canada (NRC) seeks a Project Manager (RCO) to join the Office of Facilities Renewal Management in Victoria. Under the Senior PMO, the Project Manager will develop project charters and charters and management plans for scientific facilities and/or real property projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Applicants should hold a university degree in engineering or project management; a PMP designation

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, project management, or in another field relevant to duties.
• Formal PMP designation could be considered an asset.
• For information on certificates and diplomas issued abroad, see degree equivalency.
• Recent and significant experience managing delivery of complex scientific, institutional, industrial infrastructure, or real property projects.
• Significant and recent experience coordinating multi-trade construction projects.
• Experience defining construction sequencing and review of constructability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project charters and project management plans.
• Ensure schedules and budgets are adhered to and stakeholder expectations are met.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams including researchers, engineers, procurement, and administrative staff.
