Job summary

University of Victoria's Facilities Management department seeks a Project Manager 1 to lead all phases of project delivery from initiation to close, handling renovations, building assessments, and feasibility studies with project values up to $5M.

Reporting to the Associate Director of PMS, you will coordinate with clients and consultants, prepare briefs and charters, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safe, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering with 3 years of experience, or Architectural Technology diploma with 6 years of experience.
• Experience with renovation projects up to $5M and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Preference for post-secondary or large, unionized environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management from initiation to close.
• Prepare project briefs, charters and plans; manage consultants and contractors.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure safety, quality and adherence to university policies.
