Job summary

OTIP Group of Companies (OGC) is seeking a Manager, Payroll to lead the bi-weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees across Canada. You will ensure accurate processing, compliance with payroll legislation, and timely reporting, while mentoring payroll staff and maintaining data integrity in Ceridian Dayforce HCM.

The role requires a College diploma and a Certified Payroll designation with 5–7 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership, plus expertise in multi-provincial payrolls and

Qualifications

• College diploma in HR, Payroll, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Certified Payroll designation or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of progressive payroll experience, including 2 years in leadership.
• Experience administering multi-provincial Canadian payrolls in a complex environment.
• Expertise in year-end processes (T4s, RL-1s, pension adjustments, government reporting).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bi-weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees, including processing, deductions, remittances, and year-end activities.
• Maintain payroll records and ROEs in the HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce HCM).
• Lead, coach, and develop payroll staff; manage workloads and performance.
• Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with controls and policies.
• Support audits with payroll documentation and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance for month-end/year-end reporting.
• Participate in payroll-related projects and process improvements.
