Job summary

Sandvik in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll, including year-end processes and compliance across provinces. You will handle hires, terminations, pensions, and leave top-ups while maintaining accurate attendance data and supporting audits.

The role requires Dayforce HCM proficiency, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years payroll experience, including multi-provincial payroll with Quebec.
• Proficient with payroll cycle including year-end reconciliations.
• Dayforce HCM experience for payroll processing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Administer full-cycle payroll and year-end reconciliations.
• Process hires, changes, terminations, pension contributions and leave top-ups.
• Maintain time and attendance data and leave balances.
• Oversee payroll adjustments, reconciliations and reporting.
• Serve as Dayforce administrator; troubleshoot and optimize.
• Support audits, compliance and WCB reporting.
• Monitor legislative changes and drive process improvements.
