Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Canada seeks a seasoned Mainframe professional with 5+ years of DB2 and IMS administration experience, including maintenance, backup/recovery, image copy management, DBRC operations, and space monitoring. Proficiency in automation using CLIST, REXX, and SAS, with tool/script development to enhance test environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Higher Degree is the minimum entry required.
• 5+ years of expertise in DB2 and IMS database administration, including maintenance, backup/recovery, image copy management, DBRC operations, and space monitoring.
• Experience with environment rebuilds involving IMS, DB2, and VSAM databases (creation, backup, restore, migration).
• Proficiency in automation and software support using CLIST, REXX, and SAS, with development of tools, scripts and operational utilities to improve test environments and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• DB maintenance: maintain DB2/IMS image copy and DBRC recovery jobs; IMS analyzer jobs; create/restore IMS and DB2 databases; monitor space and schedule reorgs.
