Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a contract Mainframe Developer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in development and production support. The role focuses on PL/I, DB2, IMS, and JCL to develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications within a mission-critical environment.

You'll manage job scheduling, incident tracking, and releases using Control-M, ISPW, HPSM, and JIRA, while handling production support and defect resolution to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on Mainframe Dev and Production Support.
• Strong expertise in PL/I, DB2, IMS, and JCL for developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M, ISPW, HPSM, and JIRA for job scheduling, change management, incident tracking, and release management.
• Experience in application enhancements, defect resolution, maintenance, and production support in mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of batch processing, job scheduling, and batch job monitoring, including troubleshooting job failures and performance issues.
