Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to design, develop and maintain COBOL/JCL applications on the mainframe, leveraging DB2 and CICS expertise. The role is Hybrid with 2 days in-person at the Toronto office preferred.

You will collaborate with IT and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, drive SDLC activities, and contribute to testing, deployment and production support. Leadership experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mainframe lead developer.
• Strong coding experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2.
• Experience with application design, development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Mainframe COBOL & JCL to meet requirements.
• Interface with business and IT teams to translate requirements into technical specs and code.
• Develop and execute unit tests and integration plans to validate changes.
• Participate in full SDLC and provide delivery artifacts.
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development.

• Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle Participate in production support Provide Solution Delivery Methodology artifacts associated with application components.
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development.
