Job summary

Altis Technology in Toronto is seeking an IT Assistant to join a collaborative, supportive team in a regulatory/services organization. The role involves hands-on technical support, system improvements, and digital initiatives to enhance employee experience.

You will work with the IT Lead and cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup, gaining exposure to diverse technologies and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of IT support experience or equivalent education required.
• College diploma in Information Technology or related field.
• Strong proficiency with Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware setup and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows terminal-server environments, networks, security and permissions.
• Experience with SharePoint, Adobe, WordPress, Drupal and survey design tools is an asset.
• Excellent communication, organizational and collaborative skills; proactive and service‑oriented.
• Strong attention to detail and IT security best practices, with ability to manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support, troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues, and assist end users.
• Maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals and meeting room audiovisual equipment.
• Manage IT asset inventories, licensing, equipment records and technical documentation.
• Support SharePoint sites, Microsoft 365 applications, WordPress updates and user training.
• Assist with software installations, database processes, system testing and security updates.
• Collaborate with vendors and the IT Lead on projects, system improvements, IT policies and business continuity initiatives.
