Job summary

Priceline is hiring an Associate Java Full-Stack Developer in Toronto to join an Agile team building scalable travel applications. You will contribute to Core Java back-end services and front-end features with React, while connecting to GraphQL APIs in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes building low-latency transactional services, real-time data processing, and collaborating across product teams. A hybrid model is offered with two days in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Core Java.
• Comfort and experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.
• 1+ years of experience with React/JavaScript, with a basic familiarity or desire to learn GraphQL for data querying.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools to help write, debug, and learn code faster.
• Thorough SQL compositions skills for composing queries and analysis.
• Deep understanding of modern real-time as well as batch processing big data solutions (Spark/Kafka/KSql/Flink/Apache Beam).
• Experience developing applications that work with NoSQL stores (e.g. Cassandra, Bigtable, MongoDB).
• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker is a big positive.
• Demonstrated alignment with Priceline values: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

• Participate in mission critical projects with direct impact on Priceline’s evolution.
• Be part of a cross-functional agile team delivering on new product objectives.
• Showcase development skills in Core Java.

• Build low latency, high throughput transactional services with CI and automated testing.
• Implement SQL queries for real-time data investigation and analysis.
• Understand codebase, systems and business requirements to implement changes.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and advocate for best solutions.
