Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service professional to execute medium-to-high complexity service work on hoisting and industrial equipment in the Montreal area. The role requires strong customer focus, technical leadership, and the ability to travel across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and internationally.

You will deliver service safely, plan work, and coach technicians while promoting HSE compliance at customer sites, contributing to ongoing business growth and customer success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience supporting industrial systems.
• Strong customer focus, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and deliver technical reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary service environment.
• Valid driver's license and passport, with travel within Canada, the United States, Mexico, and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver field service activities safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues on hoisting and industrial equipment.
• Plan and prepare service work, ensuring the availability of required materials, parts, and tools.
• Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and clear communication throughout project execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and customer operation's.
• Lead and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance at customer sites.
• Support business growth by identifying service and upgrade opportunities within the installed base.
• Coach and provide technical guidance to technicians, engineers, and customers, while supporting training and certification activities.
