Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to provide high-quality technical support and service in Vancouver, BC, with a hybrid work model. The role involves installations, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.

You will lead service projects, coordinate teams, and build strong customer partnerships while driving safety, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in servicing, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installing high, medium, and low voltage power equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, protection and control systems, and relays testing.
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally up to 50% and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service projects safely and efficiently, developing work scopes, estimates, and delivering on time and budget.
• Provide expert field service support for high, medium, and low voltage systems, including testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, retrofits, and installations.
• Coach technicians and engineers, mentor colleagues, and train customers when needed.
