Job summary

Iceberg Finance Group in Toronto seeks a dedicated collection agent to support client recoveries and negative balance cases. You will respond to calls and emails, follow up on delinquent accounts, and coordinate with legal and insurance partners to maximize recoveries.

You will work in a hybrid environment with a strong emphasis on organization, empathy, and compliance with legal requirements. Prior collection experience and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a collection agent.
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to negotiate and persuade.
• Polite and compassionate without losing confidence.
• Professional knowledge of MS Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client calls and emails.
• Follow up with clients who are behind on payments.
• Manage unpaid accounts.
• Initiate legal recovery procedures.
• Monitor cases sent for legal proceedings.
• Research client information for the application of judgments.
• Conduct follow-ups with automobile insurance in case of total losses.
• Coordinate with impound lots during automobile seizures.
• Perform follow-ups on cases sent to the investigation department.
