Job summary

Mejuri in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly payroll for ~400 Canadian employees across provinces. You’ll validate inputs, process off-cycle payments, and ensure correct deductions, benefits, and garnishments in ADP Workforce Now.

You will partner with People & Culture and Finance for data integrity, month-end, and year-end close, including T4s, while answering employee pay questions and maintaining compliance with federal and provincial standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of payroll processing in a multi-provincial Canadian environment.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and Canada-specific payroll requirements.
• Solid understanding of statutory deductions and provincial employment standards; PCP certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Run semi-monthly payroll for ~400 Canadian employees across multiple provinces in ADP Workforce Now.
• Validate inputs before each run by reviewing timesheets, hires, terminations, and changes.
• Handle off-cycle payments, adjustments, and manual cheques.
• Apply deductions, benefits, and garnishments accurately each cycle.
• Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end / year-end close, including T4s.
