Modine, a global leader in thermal management, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join Scott Springfield by Modine in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on the mechanical design of HVAC air handlers, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Design, and requires collaboration with Electrical Designers for conformance and submittals.

Based at 2234 Portland St SE, the ideal candidate will draft air handling equipment in IronCAD, convert AutoCAD drawings, and research codes and standards while

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical diploma with eligibility or membership in APEGA or ASET.
• Experience in refrigeration design for residential or commercial applications is an asset.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical equipment for HVAC air handlers with emphasis on functionality, serviceability and performance.
• Drafting of air handling equipment using 3D software (IronCAD) and conversion of AutoCAD drawings.
• Coordinate with Electrical Designers to ensure design conformance and accurate submittals.
• Create submittals for issuance to external customers.

Education

Engineering degree or technical diploma with eligibility or membership in APEGA or ASET
