Job summary

Modine, a global leader in thermal management, invites applications for an Applications Designer/Engineer based at our Calgary, AB facility. You will define costs and perform initial design applications for custom HVAC air handlers, reporting to the Applications Manager.

You will work with AutoCAD and IronCAD to prepare drawings, select components, and engage with customers and vendors to ensure solutions meet specifications and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with eligibility or membership in APEGA or ASET.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in problem solving and critical decision making.

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. SSM’s leadership team have intentionally created a workplace culture that puts customers first, and values teamwork, innovation and accountability. SSM has garnered a hard-earned reputation for customer service, quality and reliability..SSM operates three manufacturing facilities in Calgary. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add an Applications Designer/Engineer to the team.

Reporting to the Applications Manager, this position is responsible for the cost definition and initial design application of custom HVAC air handlers.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
