Job summary

Modine is seeking an Applications Designer/Engineer to cost and design custom HVAC air handlers for commercial and industrial customers across North America. Based at our Calgary site, you will work under the Applications Manager to define costs, select components, and prepare quotations, leveraging AutoCAD and IronCAD in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

You will collaborate with customers and vendors, develop quotation documents, and contribute to ensuring design accuracy and cost

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with eligibility or membership in APEGA or ASET.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. SSM’s leadership team have intentionally created a workplace culture that puts customers first, and values teamwork, innovation and accountability. SSM has garnered a hard-earned reputation for customer service, quality and reliability..SSM operates three manufacturing facilities in Calgary. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add an Applications Designer/Engineer to the team.

Reporting to the Applications Manager, this position is responsible for the cost definition and initial design application of custom HVAC air handlers.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and analyzing technical specifications in order to determine the price structure of a project.
