Job summary

Asset Maintenance Pros Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician - HVAC to perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems in a Waterloo-area community.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative property management team. The successful candidate will have solid knowledge of HVAC systems and general building maintenance, with a focus on safety practices and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Gas fitter 1 license and 313A refrigeration license are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related maintenance or building operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete maintenance requests as assigned, reporting progress to the Property Manager.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including logs, documenting work and materials used.
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks (carpentry, painting, plumbing, basic electrical).
• Inspect, clean, and repair fixtures and components (lights, locks, windows, doors, walls, floors).
• Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks (garbage chutes, boiler rooms, storage, entry points).
• Ensure issues are resolved promptly per work orders and company standards.
• Order supplies and retain receipts for the Property Manager.
• Track materials and assign costs to units or projects.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.
