Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our operations and maintenance team in Ontario. This role provides intermediate maintenance expertise, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on facility systems in a large industrial environment including clean rooms.

You will diagnose and repair HVAC, compressors, chillers, boilers, robotics, pumps, and more, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance experience in industrial HVAC/industrial mechanical repair or equivalent.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 ft and operate aerial lifts or scissor lifts.
• Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems and pumps, fans, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective electrical/mechanical maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyors, and roping equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment, turbines, and support systems following safety guidelines.
• Uses CMMS to schedule and document maintenance and repairs.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and cranes safely and use rigging techniques.
• Provide feedback to customers on work orders and recommend maintenance improvements.
• Repair and weld components, plumbing, and hydraulic hoses as required.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and wear PPE during tasks.
• Travel to additional client sites as needed and support shift work.
